Christina is a 1952 ring netter: built for the herring trade, these were hardy wee boats, and their fishermen hardy crew. Converted in 2010 for leisure, she is now in the process of renovation and repair. Our aim is to document her progress for anyone interested in Christina and her history. We are also collecting stories and photographs from her time at sea as a fishing boat,and the men who worked on her.

First built in 1952 for the herring trade, MV Christina has weathered many storms but has proved her resilience and remains seaworthy today.

Our aim is to document her progress of repair and renovation, through this blog, and provide a narrative of her history, the folk who owned and worked her at the fishing, and, more recently her journey as a pleasure vessel, warts and all!
